It consists in a clear distillate of Muscat of Alexandria wine. It is found in Tarija, Cinti, Potosí and La Paz valleys between 1600 and 3000 m above sea level. Its low yields due to the altitude and other local conditions confer a complex and elegant concentration of wine aromas.
Singani is drunk straight with or without ice or as long drinks and cocktails. It is the central ingredient in many traditional Bolivian cocktails such as Chufly, Poncho Negro and Yungueñito to name a few.
